Wardana began operating in 1990 as a small family business selling handicrafts. Our business’s name ‘Wardana’ is our family name and the compnay is managed by my wife, Mrs. Lasiati. She puts all her experience and full commitment into it. As she is the mother of our children she is as much the ‘mother’ of our company’s staff.
After many years of experience with its ups and downs we are still optimistic about exporting Indonesian handicrafts to international markets. We inherited our woodcarving trade and all experience from our ancestors. The skills were passed on to the young generation. Our company is located in Ubud-Andong, a traditional art village. We have no difficulties to find experienced handicraft artists – most young men here in Ubud are skilled in painting, carving and dancing.
Our products are made of ‘Albesia wood’, a light and easy to carve wood. We produce animal, minimalist and religious wood carvings as well as respond to custom-made orders.
Colours are chosen according to trends, different colours are available on request. Most of the products will be sufficiently dried in order to ensure a high quality for our customers. Our main overseas markets are Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Greece and Asian countries. Wardana is well known for delivery on time and polite and prompt assistance by our committed staff.
